Salus Global participated at the American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologists 2012 Annual District II Meeting in New York October 19th through the 21st. As the demand for measurable and sustainable patient safety solutions increases around the world the interest was high as hundreds of Doctors, Administrators and Health Care Professionals attended the ACOG District II Annual meeting where the Salus Global team was presenting information on a comprehensive range of products and solutions available including the market leading MOREOB Program.

TORONTO: JANUARY 27,2012 - Salus Global President and CEO, Dr. Ken Milne, joined a faculty more than 20 medical and legal experts at one of the world’s pre-eminent law schools, Osgoode Hall, from January 23 to 27, 2011.

Dr. Milne was part of the Osgoode Certificate in Clinical Risk, Negligence and Claims Management. During the unique, five-day program, the expert faculty of lawyers, risk managers, patient safety representatives, doctors and insurance industry professionals highlighted best practices for reducing risk as well as for managing claims and litigation. Dr. Miline provided students with expertise in the area of managing risks in maternity care.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Salus Global have established a research award in the area of Patient Safety in Obstetrics. The purpose of this grant is to provide Junior Fellows or Fellows of the College with funding to advance knowledge on issues related to Patient Safety with a special interest in the areas of Communication, Teamwork and Inter-professional coordination. The award is available from The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists through a grant to the College by Salus Global (providers and implementors of the MOREOB patient safety program).

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists/MOREOB Research Fellowship in Patient Safety In Obstetrics was awarded to Dr. Jean Ju Sheen from the Montefiore Medical Centre / Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The title of her research study is A SWIFT Method for Handing Off Obstetrical Patients on the Labor Floor. She will pursue this research study over the next 12 months with the expectation of publishing her results.
